My First Book

Books in the home are not the norm but a luxury for some communities. Cost is a major barrier for children having access to books and the idea of owning a book of their own can seem out of reach. Books of hope aims to remedy this by donating books to under resourced schools to build stock for school libraries but also to give away books to children to take home and start building their own home libraries.

Our pilot project aims to start small at delivering 100 books to a Township School in Temba, Hammanskraal, South Africa - this milestone will help us to establish the necessary networks and gauge capacity before scaling to bigger milestones.
